Foundation Studies welcome

Get ready to study at RMIT

All students commencing Foundation Studies at RMIT must complete the enrolment checklist and register for one of the below enrolment sessions. Students must complete the checklist before attending an enrolment session. 

Foundation Studies students cannot enrol into courses via Enrolment Online. 

Students must register for and attend an enrolment session to enrol into courses.

The information covered at the enrolment session includes:

  • Foundation Studies courses and subjects
  • Student responsibilities, including visa conditions, and
  • RMIT Services

Bring your own Device (BYOD)

Students must bring their own laptop or tablet to classes during study periods. Students use their device for study purposes and to connect to myDesktop. Find out more about what type of device you need.

myDesktop gives students access to their RMIT desktop and RMIT applications from home or anywhere with an internet connection. Students can also access a range of applications for free using the University’s licence. From Microsoft Word, MYOB and Adobe Photoshop, to AutoCAD or even Adobe InDesign, there’s something for everyone. Visit myDesktop for more information.

The Foundation Studies Semester 1 enrolment sessions will be as follows:

Venue: Building 108

You must enrol face-to-face so we can confirm your arrival in Australia, check your passport and visa details, and ensure that you are ready to commence your studies. Enrolment cannot be completed online.

What to bring

  • your passport
  • a copy of your current Australian visa
  • your Confirmation of Enrolment (COE) and pen to all sessions.
