STEM Bursary for China

This bursary offers financial support to international students from China who have received an offer to commence their STEM programs in 2024

Value and duration

The total value of the bursary is AU$10,000, one-off payment towards future tuition fee to be paid after the first census date.

Eligibility

In order to qualify for this scholarship you must:

  • be a citizen of, and applying from China (excl SARs)
  • be an international student holding a valid student visa or plan to apply for a student visa prior to the program commencement
  • not be an existing RMIT student (graduates/alumni commencing a new program may be considered)
  • have valid full or conditional offer letter to commence in July or Spring 2024 intake in any Bachelor’s degree*, Graduate Diploma or Masters by Coursework programs offered by:

* Exclusions apply to the following programs:

  • AD023 Associate Degree in Aviation (Professional Pilots)
  • BH102 Bachelor of Pharmacy
  • BP032 Bachelor of Nursing
  • BP345 Bachelor of Aviation

How to apply

  1. Submit an application to study at RMIT
  2. Receive an offer letter (full or conditional) to study at RMIT for July or Spring 2024 intake
  3. Submit Expression of Interest (EOI) for this bursary
  4. If you are successful, you will receive a bursary letter containing all relevant details within one week
  5. Accept the offer with bursary and finalise deposit payment within 14 days

Terms and conditions

  • This bursary has limited places available.
  • This bursary will be awarded on a first-in, first-served basis until exhausted.
  • This bursary is not available to students who have received credit from RMIT CAP partners.
  • Applicants should not be in receipt of any other scholarship covering tuition fees (excluding 10% EAP Bursary for Offshore Chinese students).
  • This bursary will only be credited into RMIT student account when students remain enrolled after census date.
  • This bursary is not refundable and is only applicable to future tuition fees.
  • This bursary may be deferred to another intake within 2024 but requires re-submission to EOI.
  • This bursary is only available to non-existing RMIT University students.
  • This bursary is only applicable to the eligible program(s) on your initial offer letter. 
  • This bursary is not transferable if you change to another program after you commenced. 
  • Successful applicants will be notified; unsuccessful applicants will not be contacted.
