RMIT UP has a proven track record of delivering leading professional development programs to English Language Teaching professionals in Melbourne and abroad.
Recent programs include offshore ELICOS Teacher training and professional development workshops for educators from Vietnam, Taiwan, Japan, China, Southeast Asia, and Latin America, and onshore short teacher training programs to principals, leading teachers and students undertaking Education degrees in their home countries.
RMIT UP has also delivered Foundation Studies demonstration workshops in Art and Design, STEM and Business across Southeast Asia, China and the Middle East.

These courses are designed for government organisations, schools and universities looking at developing the skills of students, experienced teachers and emerging teaching professionals.
Classes are tailored to our partners’ needs. Participants will have opportunities to be taught by a range key academic staff from RMIT University, RMIT UP and current professionals from government and the education industry. Classes are designed to be interactive and enjoyable.
Tailored programs run from 1 to 10 weeks.
Each participant will receive a RMIT UP completion certificate upon completion of their program.

Alex Thomson is an International Student Recruitment Specialist with over a decade of experience in the international education sector. He brings strong expertise in student recruitment, stakeholder engagement and partnership management across a wide range of global markets.
Alex has worked extensively at RMIT in roles covering recruitment management, regional coordination and sponsored student programs. Across these positions, he has achieved strong results and built long-standing relationships with students, partners and key stakeholders.
Alex is passionate about creating positive outcomes for students and partners, and is committed to supporting high-quality recruitment experiences that strengthen RMIT UP’s international engagement.
