Registering to use the Facility
To register as a user of the RMIT Microscopy & Microanalysis Facility (RMMF), we require that you complete a combination of online safety inductions and a site induction.
Registration information can be found on our intranet page.
RMMF registration is only available to staff, postgraduate students and Honours students. (Not undergraduate students completing final year capstone project)
If a staff member wishes to have undergraduate students in the RMMF, a registered user would be required to make a booking and operate the microscope as a demonstration.
Undergraduate students can only be present as guests of the registered user. As guests, for their safety, the undergraduate student/s would have to be either in the company of the registered users at all times, or have completed the RMMF online safety induction. For the safety of the equipment, guests would not be permitted to load samples or be left to operate the microscope by themselves.
