EduVenture-VR® is an online platform developed by the Centre for Learning Sciences and Technologies (CLST), Chinese University of Hong Kong. This platform allows the composition of VR learning materials via user-friendly web-based authoring tools. An agreement signed with CLST, CUHK, enables scholars in the School of PCPM, RMIT, to utilise EduVenture-VR® to undertake relevant research and educational activities.
15 mobile VR apps have been developed and successfully implemented in the Bachelor of Construction Management (Hons) program.
EduVenture-VR® can be downloaded from Apple Store and Google Play.
Upon using this VR app, students would be able to identify the components of formwork design on site, which can hardly be shown on drawings.
Upon using this VR app, students would be able to recognise substructure work and how the relevant construction process.
Upon using this VR app, students would be able to articulate the superstructure site layout and construction process through the pictures.
Upon completion, students will be able to explain how building shape may affect building cost effectiveness.
Upon completion, students will be able to compare how plot ration and other economic factors might affect actual building development in Melbourne, Singapore and Hong Kong.
Upon completion, students will be able to identify essential work items for site preparation for low rise building.
Upon completion, students will be able to identify recognise fit-out work (elementary).

Upon using this VR app, students would be able to relate measurement and pricing practice to the real construction site environment.

Students can experience the built form as the residents, including the surrounding open space, amenity and in the housing itself.
This enables students to explore and experience the manifestation of housing policy in different cultural and economic contexts. This allows firsthand experience of the impact that housing design, cost, planning and construction has on an individual’s lived outcomes and wellbeing.
