RMIT’s School of Computing Technologies has a variety of WIL offerings in

Postgraduate Data Science Project

Duration 

240 hours 

Timeline 

Single-semester project, offered in both Semester 1 (March) and Semester 2 (July)

  • Cleaning and merging of multiple data sets to perform subsequent summarisation, analysis and automatic identification of relevant information.

Software Engineering Project

General requirements

  • WIL projects are typically completed in groups of 3-5 students. Project descriptions should outline a challenge or focus area that adds real value to existing, anticipated or simulated problems in the industry. These must be submitted at least 1 month prior to the start of the semester. 
  • WIL internships can be offered on an individual basis or multiple positions. Internship positions should outline a problem, challenge or focus area within your business, and any skills students will require. 
  • Each WIL activity is assigned an RMIT supervisor with industry experience, who will support both you and the students throughout the experience, including assisting with any technical questions.   
  • Industry supervisor is expected to monitor tasks, meet with students regularly (ideally at least 1 hour per week), to provide support and feedback for best outcomes.
