The RMIT Security and Resilience Hub partners with government and private industries, as well as other educational institutes, in its efforts to contribute to Australia's National Science and Research Priority 5: “Building a secure and resilient nation”. There are many partnership opportunities and ways to collaborate, and we are always open to new ideas. Key collaborations include the below.
Our researchers have extensive experience in conducting and translating research to address real world challenges. The hub director, supported by a team of research partnership managers, works with potential partners to identify the appropriate opportunities and mechanisms for collaboration. Whether it be directly contracted research, leveraging government funded grant opportunities, participating in large scale consortium bids or via PhD programs, there is always a way in which we can collaborate to address industry needs. Our world leading experts also offer consultancy services with extensive subject matter expertise.
We work with industry to develop and deliver a wide range of education programs spanning short one or two day workshops, six week long micro-credentials or full courses, all of which can be customised to train and upskill the next generation of graduates in critical skill areas such as Agentic AI and LLMs, predictive modelling, digital twins, fire safety and emergency management techniques. As a STEM College Hub, the S&R Hub has access to academic experts from the Schools of Engineering, Science, Computing and Biomedical and Health Sciences to co-design and deliver these programs.
