Join us for a screening and conversation with Vicki Couzens and members of the Southern Ocean Protection Embassy Collective (SOPEC) and learn about the fight to protect sacred Sea Country.

Precious ocean life in Southern Sea Country, including plankton, krill, crayfish, lobsters and whales, are currently under threat by seismic blasting used by companies to determine oil and gas pockets in the ocean.

This event will feature a discussion from Vicki Couzens, Yaraan Bundle, Robert Bundle and Daryn McKenny, who will speak about the immediate threats to their ocean Ancestors (the Whales/Koontapool). all of our ocean Kin and Sea Country.

This event is a part of Social Sciences Week 2023, of which RMIT is the proud principal sponsor. It is also a part of the Wild Hope exhibition run by the Design Hub Gallery.
