Urban Playground: Beyond Consumption

Hear a free, one-of-a-kind public talk from creative force Woopsyang, the acclaimed South Korean artist behind 'Space-Out Competition', and awaken non-consumptive ways to use the city as your playground.

In this talk presented by RISING Festival and RMIT University, artist Woopsyang will explain and explore her groundbreaking urban play development project. Driven by the idea that city play is often just another form of consumerism, Woopsyang's artistic practice offers us new, non-consumptive ways to see the city as a giant playground full of possibilities.

Hear Woopsyang explore new, non-consumptive ways of play that awaken human instincts for joy and experimentation, using the language of art to challenge and expand our understanding of play in urban life.
