About

Since 2006, Dr Houlei's research has significantly advanced the understanding of polymer materials structure–property relationships, providing both theoretical insights and practical solutions for industry. His work has enabled the development of high-performance and sustainable polymer materials, informed design strategies for industrial applications, and contributed to the commercialization of innovative materials through patents and collaborative projects. His research outputs demonstrate a strong record of translation from fundamental science to industrial impact, aligning with national priorities in advanced manufacturing, materials innovation, and sustainability, resulting in 63 journal publications and 16 filed international patents. He is currently conducting research in sustainable high-performance composite materials at Aerospace Enginerring in RMIT University.
