James is a Research Assistant on the ARC Discovery Project: 'Youth, Religion, and Sexuality: School Cultures, Exemptions, and Digital Media'.
His research explores youth wellbeing, gender and sexuality, digital cultures, and creative and participatory methods.
He is also an experienced and tutor and coordinator, having taught across a range of gender studies, cultural studies, and youth studies subjects. Through a commitment to teaching and research excellence, James has been awarded the Postgraduate Prize for Academic Merit in Gender and Cultural Studies and the Dean’s Citation for Excellence in Tutorials, both in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences at The University of Sydney.
James has taught widely across Gender Studies, Sociology, Youth Studies, Media Studies, and Cultural Studies units.
