Georgia Janetzki is a lecturer in the Bachelor of Communication Design Program at the School of Design.

Georgia has lectured in illustration, drawing, and design with undergraduate students in the Bachelor of Communication Design program since 2003. She wrote and introduced the Illustration elective into the Communication Design program, which also creates links between industry professionals and students. Georgia continues to develop further and teach image-making within a design context.
Georgia has been a professional graphic designer and illustrator for 37 years. She worked for FHA, Nexus, and The Age before establishing her freelancing business as an illustrator in 1995. Selected clients include Business Review Weekly, City of Melbourne, City of Yarra, David Lancashire Design, Emery Studio, Environment Australia, Guy Mirabella, Longman Australia, MacMillan, Melbourne Theatre Company, Mushroom Records, National Australia Bank, Penguin Books, Tasmanian Department of Environment and Land Management, Victoria’s Open Range Zoo at Werribee and Vogue Australia.
Georgia was a judge for the illustration category of the Melbourne Art Directors Club Awards and a judge for the best illustration, cartoon and information graphic categories of the Walkley Awards.
She received a pinnacle award (illustration category) in the Australian Graphic Design Association National Awards and has received design awards from the Australian Writers and Art Directors Association and the National Print Awards.
