Dr. Jongkil Jay Jeong is an academic and cybersecurity practitioner specializing in human-centric cybersecurity and digital identity. He holds senior fellow positions at the University of Melbourne and RMIT University, and is currently the Managing Director of the cybersecurity research company - TNK (www.tnk.net.au).

Research interests

Dr. Jeong's work focuses on the intersection of behavioral science, culture, and technology to manage cyber risk.

 

His areas of expertise include: 

  • Human Factors in Cybersecurity: Quantifying human susceptibility to cyber risks using platforms like TNK's Behavioural Assessment Engine.
  • Authentication Technologies: Research into next-generation authentication and digital identity technologies.
  • National Cybersecurity: Developing cybersecurity maturity and resilience frameworks for nations, and advising governments such as Malaysia on their national cyber strategy.
