Prove your enrolment
Statement of Enrolment (SoE)
In 2019, RMIT’s load definition was updated to reflect the non-standard semesters that students are now able to enrol in. From 2020 this refined definition will be fully reflected in your Statement of Enrolment (SoE) which will replace the Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE).
Your SoE is an official statement from RMIT University confirming your program and course enrolment, along with information such as the start date, end date and census date relevant to each of the classes in which you are enrolled. It also displays your study load (also known as aggregated load) in the program for a specific time period.
Your SoE proves your enrolment and/or study load for concession or other benefit purposes e.g. Victorian Public Transport Concession, Centrelink income support payments.
The SoE will also help you determine if you will complete your program within the minimum time.
Make sure you check the enrolment details in your SoE carefully to ensure they're correct.
If you’re enrolled in multiple programs, you’ll receive multiple SoEs. Each SoE covers a half-year period.
To view your Statement of Enrolment
Your SoE is available in Enrolment Online the day after you enrol or vary your enrolment.
To view or print your SoE:
- Log in to Enrolment Online and select the My student record button
- Under Enrolment details, select View Statement of Enrolment (SoE)
If you're studying multiple programs, select the program for which you need to check your enrolment.

Key changes to the Statement of Enrolment
From 14 Feb 2020, the Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE) statement changed to a Statement of Enrolment (SoE).
New study load calculation
From 14 Feb 2020, RMIT changed the way study load is calculated to better accommodate enrolment in courses with flexible teaching delivery, e.g. classes that start or end outside of the standard semesters. This change applies to all domestic and international students studying onshore in higher education, vocational education, and Higher Degree by Research programs.
The SoE shows your study load calculated for ‘First half calendar year’ (1 January to 30 June) and ‘Second half calendar year’ (1 July to 31 December). This includes the portion of any class that falls within that time period.
