"The Sound of Music" (1965), the beloved classic musical that has enchanted audiences for generations. "The Sound of Music" tells the moving story of Maria, a spirited governess who brings music, joy, and love back into the lives of the seven von Trapp children and their widowed father, Captain von Trapp. Set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Austrian Alps and the gathering shadows of World War II, the film celebrates courage, family, and the power of song.
