Japanese author Genki Kawamura (If Cats Disappeared from the World) makes his Melbourne Writers Festival debut in celebration of his affirming new novel, One Hundred Flowers.

English-speaking readers first encountered Kawamura through his debut novel, If Cats Disappeared from the World, which has sold over three million copies worldwide and been translated into 25 languages. He is also an acclaimed filmmaker and director. Across written and visual mediums, his work explores profound themes of memory, loss and human connection.

Kawamura sits down to discuss his latest novel and his extraordinary career with Omar Musa.
