Mr Finbar Bray

Student elected Council member

Finbar Bray is the 2025 President of the RMIT University Student Union (RUSU) and a fourth-year Bachelor of Urban and Regional Planning student at RMIT University.

He served as the 2024 RUSU Welfare Officer, leading key initiatives to enhance student wellbeing and expand access to welfare programs, including food security and housing support. In this capacity, he worked collaboratively with University staff and stakeholders to strengthen the integration of student perspectives into institutional policy and decision-making.

Finbar has held executive positions across several student clubs and societies and has contributed to multiple RMIT committees concerned with student experience, academic governance, and campus development. His leadership has focused on fostering cooperation between the University and the student body to improve equity and engagement across all campuses.

Finbar's academic and professional interests include urban policy, equitable development, and participatory governance. He is committed to promoting inclusive, sustainable, and community-centred approaches to both urban planning and higher education.
