Drones

The use of drones, also known as Remotely Piloted Aircraft or RPAs, is increasing in Australia and globally.

Anyone using a drone must follow certain regulations to ensure safety and compliance with civil aviation requirements.

There are also other considerations that should be taken into account by drone pilots to ensure flights are managed in a socially responsible manner.

On this page you’ll find information on how these regulations and other considerations apply to RMIT staff members and students using drones on RMIT property and/or in connection with their work or study.
