Dr Hua Qian Ang is the founder of EPIC Engineering Comic, a Chartered Engineer of Engineers Australia and a passionate engineering educator and researcher at RMIT.
Dr Ang is passionate about teaching engineering, and she wants to make engineering learning fun and engaging to facilitate comprehension, enhance learning experience and increase knowledge retention. She founded EPIC Engineering Comic with a mission to impart authentic engineering knowledge and inspire people around the world into engineering through imaginative storytelling with visual arts. Apart from teaching, Dr Ang’s research areas are focused on the mechanical properties and deformation behaviour of light alloys, in particular magnesium alloys. Dr. Ang also has extensive experience in microstructural characterisation in evaluation and improvement of alloys' mechanical properties. She is also interested in additive manufacturing and laser processing of metals and alloys. Dr Ang currently holds multiple volunteering positions.
