About

Suraiyah is a lecturer in accounting and has been teaching at RMIT University since 2017. She has taught  undergraduate and postgraduate level courses in Critical Accounting Perspectives, Strategic Management Control Systems, and Business Decision Making. Throughout her career, Suraiyah has studied and taught internationally in tertiary institutions and professional institutes in  Australia, New Zealand, Japan and Bangladesh.

 

Suraiyah completed her PhD from RMIT University in the area of social and environmental accounting and reporting. Her research interests include corporate accountability, social governance, and sustainability issues. She is currently undertaking research on modern slavery and the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
