About

Janet Mayowa Nwaogu (PhD) is a Research Fellow at RMIT University. She obtained her PhD from Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Prior to joining RMIT, she was a Postdoctoral research fellow (2021-2024) at the Department of Building and Real Estate, Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Her research focuses on work health and safety (including mental health), sustainable construction (circular economy and alternative construction materials), workforce development, human resource planning, digital construction and performance management. 

 

Janet has co-authored over 20 high-impact journal publications, with more than 890 citations, and has an h-index of 16 (Google Scholar). She has contributed to several funded research projects and played a key role in drafting successful proposals, including those funded under the Hong Kong General Research Fund (GRF). Before being awarded a doctoral studentship to pursue her PhD in Hong Kong, Janet served as Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Building at the Federal University of Technology, Akure, Nigeria, where she taught construction management and building services courses, supervised 14 undergraduate final-year projects and served in different capacities, including student advisor. She has also contributed to several projects funded by the UK Department for International Development (DFID).
