Guaranteed ATAR

Plan and list your preferences with the confidence of knowing what ATAR will guarantee entry into your dream course

RMIT offers a range of courses with Guaranteed ATARs (excluding adjustment factors).

This means that if you receive an ATAR equal to or above this and meet the course prerequisites, we will guarantee you an offer in this course.

The Guaranteed ATAR allows you to know the likelihood of receiving an offer into specific courses in advance. For VTAC applicants to receive an offer, this course must be your highest eligible preference. However, if you receive an ATAR below this guarantee, you may still receive an offer, depending on the availability of places in this course and whether you are eligible to receive any adjustment factors.

Remember: you can use these guaranteed ATARs to guide your preference planning, but you should always list your courses according to what you would like to study the most.

You are eligible for guaranteed entry if you:

  • are a domestic student applying with an Australian Year 12 qualification where you are awarded an ATAR on completion
  • are applying to RMIT via VTAC or Direct
  • meet all other essential admission criteria such as course prerequisites
  • apply while there are still places available.
