A Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE) is an official document issued by RMIT that confirms your enrolment in a program, also known as a course. You will need it before you can apply for an Australian student visa (subclass 500). Your CoE provides information about you and your course details, including the start and end dates, pre-paid fees, estimated total course fees and your Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) to the Department of Home Affairs.
After you have accepted your offer, paid your tuition fee deposit and received your CoE, you can apply for a student visa.
If you require a Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE) to apply for a student visa but do not yet have your official final results, you may be eligible to request a conditional CoE. This allows you to start your student visa application earlier.
A conditional CoE may be issued if your current academic results indicate that you are on track to meet your program's entry requirements, and your final results are expected to be released close to your program commencement date. This means you may not have enough time to apply for your student visa before your studies begin.
You must satisfy all the conditions outlined in your offer letter to be able to enrol in your program.

Once you have completed all requirements, RMIT will process your offer acceptance and issue your CoE within five working days.
You will receive an email notification when your CoE has been issued and it can be downloaded via the application portal. If you cannot find or access your CoE, please send us a message via the application portal.
