Australian Student Visas
RMIT's online Graduate Certificate in Business Administration does not meet Australian student visa requirements. For an Australian student visa, you must have an on-campus place in a program of study. Find out more about on RMIT's on-campus business programs.

The program is supported by a strong advisory board that helps steer curriculum development to ensure that graduates are work-ready and prepared to take up challenging positions within the rapidly changing business landscape.
4 courses | 8 months intensive part-time
Each course is seven weeks in duration and requires a minimum of 15-20 hours a week study.

- Initial communication: Students can use the online forum to introduce themselves to each other and course instructors. This is where students can form study groups and find information about course topics, teachers, readings, assignment key dates and grading considerations.
- Learning materials consist of a variety of components, including video, text-based content, animations and more.
- Discussion boards: The discussion boards are open throughout the duration of each course, helping to promote critical thinking and interaction.
- Synchronised study sessions: With at least one per seven-week course, these sessions bridge gaps between the content and student comprehension, and are scheduled well in advance to facilitate student planning.
- Assessment: There are no formal on-campus exams. Instead, there is rigorous assessments in the form of case studies, reports, online discussion, interaction and engagement. This ensures that all learning is valuable, authentic and applicable to your work immediately.
Ongoing support and re-enrolment: Each student will have a dedicated advisor to help guide and motivate you through coursework, enabling you to manage your study/work/life balance.

Admissions
An Australian bachelor degree or equivalent, or higher level qualification, in any discipline from a recognised tertiary institution.
If you do not meet the above entry requirement for the Graduate Certificate, you may be considered if you have a minimum of 5 years full-time equivalent work experience. Applicants will be required to submit a curriculum vitae (CV).

International students are required to provide current evidence of English language proficiency for admission to RMIT University (see below).
To study this program you will need to complete one of the following English proficiency tests:
- IELTS (Academic): minimum overall band of 6.5 (with no individual band below 6.0)
- TOEFL (Paper Based Test): minimum score of 580 (TWE 4.5)
- TOEFL (Internet Based Test - IBT): minimum overall score of 92 (with minimum of 20 in all sections)
- Pearson Test of English (Academic) (PTE (A)): minimum score of 58 (with no communication band less than 50)
- Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE): minimum of 176 with no less than 169 in any component

Pathways
Your online course is as flexible as today’s business demands. If you get busy, you can adjust your course to shift the focus back onto your work priorities.
Our Master of Business Administration encompasses courses that make up a Graduate Certificate, so should you need to exit the program early, you can still earn a postgraduate qualification by successfully completing specific courses.
The Graduate Certificate is also a pathway to the MBA for some students (see admissions).
Fees
2022 tuition fees are AU$4,440 per course, totalling AU$17,760 for 4 courses.
Fees apply to 2022 only.
Fees are adjusted on an annual basis and these fees should only be used as a guide.

In addition to tuition fees, you will be charged an annual student services and amenities fee (SSAF) based on your enrolment load, which is used to maintain and enhance services and amenities that improve your experience as an RMIT student. Eligible local students can apply for an SA-HELP loan to defer payment of their SSAF.

Some students may be eligible to apply to defer payment of some or all of their tuition fees via the Commonwealth Government’s FEE-HELP loan scheme.
