Study that’s as unique as you are

Ella Searle

RMIT Urban School gives me the freedom to pursue my own learning path and the opportunity to be involved in all aspects of RMIT life. Studying Certificate and Diploma level courses as a complement to my VCE has allowed me to learn and grow in different ways, as well as experience life at university before finishing my VCE. It also teaches me practical skills for the real world. I’ve made some great friends at RMIT Urban School and really enjoy the environment and atmosphere.

RMIT Urban School provides the flexibility I need to shape my timetable with other commitments, allowing me to participate in extracurricular activities with my local council. RMIT provides the opportunity to enrol in courses from Bachelor degrees – I’m really enjoying the Sustainability and Urban Planning course, both because it gives me a taste of what university is like, and because it contributes to my ATAR. RMIT Urban School’s location is central and convenient, and I really appreciate and benefit from the mature learning environment.

For parents

Sending your children off to study can be daunting and leave you with unanswered questions. You’ll want to make sure they’re in the right hands so that’s why at RMIT, our experienced staff have a depth of understanding of the needs of senior secondary learning. We offer a mature, caring and supportive learning environment. Students are not required to be on campus when there are no classes, but they are required to meet regularly with their learning mentor.

Your children will benefit from access to all RMIT support services. These include counselling, careers, clubs, activities and the library amongst others. All our Urban School teaching staff have Victorian Institute registration and also hold valid Working with Children Checks. We welcome your questions and contact through the level co-ordinators at all times via email or phone.
