For third year Civil and Infrastructure Engineering students; worth $5,000 per year for two years and an eight week paid work experience placement.

The BMD Group Scholarship provides $5,000 per year for two years, and an eight week paid work experience placement with BMD Group.

Note: The BMD Group Scholarship is regarded as taxable income under taxation legislation as there is an opportunity to undertake paid work with the donor. We recommend that you obtain taxation advice from an accountant or the Australian Tax Office regarding this scholarship.

Application questions

It is expected that the online application will take approximately thirty minutes to complete. The main application questions are listed below to allow time to prepare your answers prior to starting the online application.

  • Describe the two best academic achievements or learning experiences in your program.
  • Describe your communication skills, creativity, innovation, initiative and/or potential leadership qualities.
  • What motivated you to choose your RMIT program? Include the steps you have taken to achieve your educational goals. 
  • What are your future plans and career aspirations? 
  • Would you be willing to participate in a paid work placement at BMD as part of your scholarship, and if so, what would you like to achieve from this experience?

The scholarship application process is highly competitive with a limited number of scholarships available. Unfortunately, not all eligible applicants will receive one.

Only successful candidates will be notified via email to their RMIT student account.
