There are five scholarships available valued at $5,000 per recipient for one year.
To be eligible for this scholarship you must:
Preference will be given to students who have already moved from a rural/regional area to Melbourne to study at RMIT (you can check your postcode using the Regional Adjustment Calculator).

Depending on your circumstances, you will need to provide different types of evidence and material to support your scholarship application. Applications without supporting documents will not be considered.

Applications for Semester 1 2027 open 1 August 2026.
Timely applications: If you submit your Access and Equity Scholarship Application by 31 August 2026, we’ll let you know if we need any additional documentation.
Applications for Semester 1 2027 close 2pm Tuesday 20 October 2026. No late applications will be accepted.
Recipients must provide a photo and a 100-word statement on their technical interests, for the possible inclusion in the Rowe Scientific national newsletter.

The Rowe Scientific Foundation aims to support high achieving scientific undergraduate students studying at RMIT, with a preference to those who have had to move to study.

The scholarship application process is highly competitive with a limited number of scholarships available. Unfortunately, not all eligible applicants will receive one.
Only successful candidates will be notified via email to their RMIT student account.
