RMIT Tech Ignite Scholarship

For commencing computer science, data science, information technology or software engineering students from diverse backgrounds; worth up to $60,000.

$15,000 per year, for the standard duration of program, and a Work Integrated Learning (WIL) activity.

 

To be eligible for this scholarship you must:

  • be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, an Australian permanent resident or a permanent humanitarian visa holder
  • be commencing full-time study in semester 1 2023 in one of the following programs:
  • be from a diverse background and/or experiencing financial and/or educational disadvantage such as:
    • being a strong achieving student who identifies as a woman, or first nations student showing good leadership capabilities
    • receiving a government tested low-income benefit or having a Centrelink Health Care Card
    • having a long-term medical condition or disability
    • experiencing difficult family/social circumstances
    • be from an interstate or rural/regional area and moving/moved to Melbourne to study at RMIT
    • were born overseas, are from a non-English background and recently migrated to Australia
    • current or former refugee
    • completed secondary school at a School Network Access Program school
    • have previously/are currently living in foster/kinship care or are a ward of the state
  • be available to participate in a Work Integrated Learning (WIL) activity in your second and/or third year of study
  • if shortlisted, respond to an email in late December/mid-January to answer further application questions
  • be available for an interview if shortlisted*.
