For commencing Bachelor of Arts (Photography) students who demonstrate creative excellence in their photography; worth up to $22,500.
The scholarship provides up to $7,500 per annum for up to three years.

Depending on your circumstances, you will need to provide different types of evidence and material to support your scholarship application. Applications without supporting documents will not be considered.

Two series of work with 8 photographs in each series. Each series must be in its own PDF, with the photographs in sequence (no individual photos to be uploaded).

The Imaging and Digital Entertainment Association (IDEA) has been the Australian industry body promoting the imaging and consumer electronics industry and promoting photography education for over 35 years. Upon winding up its' operation in 2022, it has donated all remaining funds to RMIT to allow establishing scholarships to continue its' legacy in support of photography students.

The scholarship application process is highly competitive with a limited number of scholarships available. Unfortunately, not all eligible applicants will receive one.
