NHP Women in Electrical Engineering Scholarship

For women in their third or fourth year of electrical engineering with a GPA of 2.5 or higher; worth up to $15,000.

This scholarship provides up to $7,500 per year for up to two years.

To be eligible for this scholarship you must:

  • identify as a woman
  • be an Australian citizen, an Australian permanent resident or permanent humanitarian visa holder
  • be enrolled full-time in the Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical Engineering) (Honours) (BH075) for the duration of your program (minimum of 36 credit points per semester)
  • be in your third or fourth year of study in 2026
  • have a Grade Point Average (GPA) to date of 2.5 or higher
  • be willing to participate in an interview, if shortlisted*
  • be committed to engage with mentoring, industry exposure, and development opportunities
  • provide a personal statement outlining goals, achievements, and motivation for applying

Application questions

It is expected that the online application will take approximately thirty minutes to complete. The main application questions are listed below to allow you time to prepare your answers in advance prior to starting the online application.

  • Describe your two best academic achievements or learning experiences in your program thus far.

Notice to applicants

The scholarship application process is highly competitive with a limited number of scholarships available. Unfortunately, not all eligible applicants will receive one.

Only successful candidates will be notified via email to their RMIT student account.
