STEM Women in Engineering Scholarship

For students who identify as a woman commencing a Bachelor of Engineering; worth $5,000 per year.

This scholarship provides $5,000 per year for up to four years.

To be eligible for this scholarship you must:

  • identify as a woman
  • be an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident or permanent humanitarian visa holder
  • be commencing a Bachelor of Engineering program at RMIT in semester 1 2024
  • be enrolling full-time in semester 1 and 2 for the duration of your studies
  • have completed Year 12 VCE (Victorian Certificate of Education) in a Victorian secondary school in 2023
  • achieve an Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) of 85 or higher (students undertaking a double degree program must achieve an ATAR of 90 or above) in 2023

It is anticipated that this scholarship will next be offered for Semester 1, 2025, with applications opening August 2024.

These scholarships seek to recognise and reward talented students who identify as a woman who can demonstrate academic achievement.

The STEM College reserves the right to distribute these scholarships across a range of engineering programs to ensure students who identify as woman with a diverse range of engineering interests are included among the recipients.

Notice to applicants

The scholarship application process is highly competitive with a limited number of scholarships available. Unfortunately, not all eligible applicants will receive one.

Only successful candidates will be notified via email to their RMIT student account.
