Professor Lijing Wang works at the RMIT University School of Fashion and Textiles. He is the top research leader recognised by the Australian Research Council in Textile Engineering. He has been the chief investigator in more than 40 funded research projects, and his publications reached 280 with citation h-index 51. He is ranked within 2% of top-cited scientists worldwide. He leads Fibre Materials and Products research theme at RMIT WEFT Research Centre. His areas of research interest include Smart and high-performance textiles; Wearable technology; Garment functional design; Clothing supply chain sustainability and circular economy; Fibre and polymer material science, engineering and modelling; Protective clothing systems and thermal comfort; Product traceability; and Sensors and instrumentation.
