Dr Hai Dong is the leader of the Smart Sensing and Services Research Area, the co-founder and co-director of CloudTech-RMIT Green Cryptocurrency Joint Research Laboratory (GreenCryptoLab), and a member of RMIT Centre for Cyber Security Research and Innovation (CCSRI). He chairs the Deep Edge Intelligence Task Force in the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society.
He published a monograph and 140+ (90+ CORE-A*/A or JCR/SJR Top-10%) research articles in international journals and conferences, including CSUR, TIE, TIFS, TMC, TSC, TSE, AAAI, ASE, ICML, ICSOC, ICWS, etc. He received the Best Research Paper Award in ICSOC 2016 and the 2023 RMIT Award for Research Engagement and Impact - Industry Engagement in Graduate Research. He obtained 5 million+ research funding from the government (including ARC, CRC, and QNRF) and industry as a chief investigator. He served in the organising/program committees of 80+ international conferences, including CIKM, ICDM, ICSOC, ICWS, WWW, etc. He was invited to review 50+ international journals, such as CSUR, TKDE, TOIT, TSC, etc. His primary research interests include Service-Oriented Computing, Edge Intelligence, Blockchain, AI Security, Cyber Security, Machine Learning, etc. He is a senior member of the IEEE.
