Dr Son Hoang Dau (preferred name: Hoang) is a senior lecturer in computer science at School of Computing Technologies. He is also the program manager of the Bachelor of Computer Science (Professionals).
Courses that he has taught include Algorithms & Analysis (RMIT), Introduction to Mathematics for Computing (RMIT), Mathematics for Computing 1 (RMIT), and Probability Theory (Monash University). In 2026, he will also be teaching Blockchain Innovations & Case Studies (RMIT University).
His research interests include blockchain forensics, data and information privacy, coding theory, and discrete mathematics.
