Blanca is an experimental physicist working on optical imaging, spectroscopy and sensing for biomedical applications. She graduated with a PhD in Physics from Autonomous University of Madrid (Spain) in 2017 and moved to Australia for a postdoctoral role at Swinburne University of Technology before joining RMIT as a Vice Chancellor's fellow in 2020.
Photoluminescence-based sensing for biomedical applications, including deep-tissue imaging and sensing in the short-wave infrared, temperature sensing, and voltage imaging.
