About

Dr Hakeem is currently a reserach associate in the chemical and environmental engineering depaatment having recieved his PhD from RMIT University in 2023 under the supervision of Professor Kalpit Shah. He holds an MSc in Sustainable Chemical Engineering from the University of Bath, United Kingdom and a BEng (Honours) in Chemical Engineering from Nigeria. He has strong fundamentals in chemical engineering which he consistently employed in designing new processes for waste valorisation and resource recovery. Dr Hakeem has established strong reserach collobaration with Australian water sector and has recieved prominent industry awards including the Student Water Prize Award for his PhD work. He is an affiliate researcher in the ARC Training Centre for the Transformation of Australia's Biosolids Resource based at RMIT University where he works closely with the water industry developing technological solutions to biosolids managment and wastewater treatment.
