About

Dr. Chris Harrison is a Research Fellow in the School of Engineering at RMIT University, where he develops embedded systems and mission-critical electronics for the ALEPH-1 lunar payload as part of the Centre for Moon to Mars Initiative Science and Technology (M2MIST). His work spans embedded hardware and firmware, real-time systems, radiation-tolerant electronics, system integration, and the qualification and testing of spaceflight hardware. The ALEPH-1 mission, developed in partnership with Lunaria One, aims to demonstrate Australia's capability to operate a biological payload on the lunar surface.

Prior to joining RMIT, Chris was a Research Fellow at Swinburne University of Technology, where he contributed to industry-focused research and development projects. His broader research interests focus on applying robust engineering principles to solve complex real-world problems, from embedded systems and electronics to data-driven decision-making.
