About

My research interests revolve around understanding the biological effects of pollution and contaminants in aquatic organisms, particularly native fish species. I am interested in bioaccumulation and the sub-lethal and long-term effects of environmental stressors and pollutants on fish reproduction and early development. My current work aims to identify pollution sources and describe the impacts on biota from freshwater rivers and wetlands, estuaries and marine ecosystems. This includes extensive water and sediment monitoring of micropollutants and emerging contaminants associated with stormwater, sewage and recycled water.

Research fields

  • 410402 Environmental assessment and monitoring
  • 4105 Pollution and contamination
  • 410504 Surface water quality processes and contaminated sediment assessment
  • 410201 Bioavailability and ecotoxicology
