About

Dr Wenqi Han (Andrew) is a lecturer of the Accounting Department at RMIT University. Dr Han has extensive experience in accounting education, with many years of teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate programs. He has delivered courses in face-to-face, fully online, and blended learning modes, and has taught and coordinated a broad range of core accounting subjects, including financial accounting, management accounting, auditing, and related professional accounting courses. His current teaching focus is taxation law, where he is particularly interested in developing practical, industry-relevant learning experiences that support students' professional preparation in accounting, taxation, and financial advisory contexts.

His research focuses on the impact of artificial intelligence and digital transformation on accounting, auditing, and taxation. His broader research interests include ESG and sustainability, corporate governance, financial markets, and corporate behaviour and decision-making. His work examines how firms respond to technological innovation, regulatory change, environmental risks, and market pressures, with particular emphasis on the implications for accounting practice, audit quality, tax compliance, corporate disclosure, and financial decision-making.

Dr Han's bilingual capability in English and Mandarin supports cross-cultural engagement with students and professionals, and informs his interest in comparative perspectives on accounting practice and regulatory developments across jurisdictions. He maintains strong connections with the professional community through his engagement with professional accounting and financial planning bodies, including the Institute of Public Accountants and the Financial Planning Association of Australia. Through his teaching, research, and professional engagement, he contributes to the development of future accounting, taxation, and financial planning professionals while advancing understanding of how emerging technologies and sustainability issues are reshaping business practice.
