About

BSc(Hons) in geophysics at Melbourne University

Employed from 1982 to 1989 at Shell Australia and then completed MSc in seismic geophysics at Macquarie University

Undertook a PhD within geological remote sensing at UNSW 1992-1997.

Part time geophysicist Geol. Surv. NSW 1995-1997

Employed by CSIRO Exploration and Mining Division 1998 – 2010 as research scientist within mineral spectroscopy, geological remote sensing / geophysics, focusing on ASTER applications.

From 2010 consulted for NSW, Tasmanian Geological Surveys, DSTO Defence organisation and exploration companies. Appointed research fellow and casual lecturer at RMIT University between 2012 to 2016.

Appointed Assistant Professor in geological remote sensing between 2016 – 2019 at ITC - University of Twente, The Netherlands. Since 2019 has undertaken ongoing supervision of PhD students at University of Twente and RMIT University as well as research collaboration and publications with ITC’s Applied Earth Sciences Dept. He currently works from Central Victoria, as a geological consultant specialising in geological remote sensing, integrating both spectral geology and regional geophysics. Committee member of the Victorian branch of the Aust. Soc. Exploration Geophysicists and a member of the Aust. Instit. Geoscientists.
