What's the difference between each campus?

Each of our campuses is amazing in their own way, and each offers different study areas and facilities.

Our iconic RMIT Melbourne City campus has facilities covering many different study areas and is located in the heart of Melbourne. There are inspiring spaces at our Brunswick campus that focus on fashion, and you won’t want to miss the high-tech marvels of the Bundoora campus, which caters to health, building, education and more. Also at the Bundoora campus is our Bundoora Trades Innovation Centre, you won’t want to miss a chance to check it out.

Here's a quick breakdown of exactly which study areas are offered at each of our campuses:

What to do when you arrive

If you’re arriving at RMIT Open Day and aren’t sure where to go first, stop in at the Welcome Marquee. Psst… you can get an RMIT tote bag and event guide there which will save you a lot of time and help you navigate the campus.

The Welcome Marquees will be positioned near high traffic entrances to each of our campuses, so keep your eye out as you arrive on the day.

Experiences and highlights from last year

Only at RMIT Open Day will you see your future come to life right before your eyes. To give you an idea of what to expect, we’ve collected some of the biggest moments and highlights from last year’s Open Days.

Bundoora

The Bundoora campus is full of high-tech marvels and sprawling open spaces focusing on building and trades, biomedical sciences, education, health and food science.

Building and Property

  • Visitors experienced virtual welding with a cutting-edge VR simulator. They also operated a virtual digger to test their hand-eye coordination and see what it’s like to work in civil construction.
  • We ran a carpentry experience that let visitors try their hand at building a small wooden stool (which they got to take home).

Health and Science

  • Last year, the Health and Science Hub was busy all day. The Hub is a gateway to discovery where you can chat with expert academics about learning health and science at RMIT and got hands-on with interactive experiences like a VR journey through the human body.

Brunswick

The Brunswick campus is an inspiring learning space focused on fashion.

Fashion

  • Aspiring stylists and designers, learned all about dressing up for the catwalk and they got a behind the scenes look at the glamorous fashion industry.
