Office of the Vice-Chancellor

The Office of the Vice-Chancellor (OVC) supports the Vice-Chancellor and President (VC) in all aspects of their work, provides specialist strategic advice, oversees University governance and student administration, and delivers a range of other services.

The Executive Office is responsible for:

  • Providing strategic, executive, and advisory support to the Vice-Chancellor and, working with a diverse range of University, community, industry, and other stakeholders.
  • Facilitating, setting and advising on the "rhythm of the business" to support the flow of ideas and actions across the University, including advice and secretariat support for the University Executive Committee (UEC).
  • Supporting the Vice-Chancellor’s strategic work program to ensure longitudinal alignment with RMIT’s Mission, Vision, Strategy, and Values.

The University Secretariat and Academic Registrar’s Group is responsible for:

  • Providing advice and support on the governance of the RMIT Group, including the University Secretariat.
  • Advising and supporting all education regulatory activity as an Australian university and multi-sector provider.
  • Delivering academic policies, systems and services that support student administration, learning, teaching and research.
