Matt Warren is the Director of the RMIT Centre of Cyber Security Research and Innovation and a Professor of Cyber Security at RMIT University, Australia. Professor Warren is a researcher in the areas of Cyber Security and Computer Ethics.He has authored and co-authored over 300 books, book chapters, journal papers and conference papers. He has received numerous grants and awards from national and international funding bodies, such as AustCyber, Australian Research Council (ARC); CyberCRC, Engineering Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) in the UK; National Research Foundation in South Africa and the European Union. Professor Warren gained his PhD in Information Security Risk Analysis from the University of Plymouth, United Kingdom and he has taught within Australia, Finland, Hong Kong and the United Kingdom. Professor Warren is a Fellow of the Australian Computer Society.

Zahir Tari is the Research Director of the RMIT Centre of Cyber Security Research and Innovation and Professor of Cloud-Systems and Security at RMIT University, Australia. Zahir has over two decade experience in the areas of system’s performance (e.g. P2P, Cloud, IoT) as well as system’s security (e.g. SCADA, SmartGrid, Cloud, IoT). Zahir is a recipient of over 11M$ in funding from ARC (Australian Research Council) and various industries (e.g. Siemens/Germany), and lately part of a successful 7th Framework AU2EU (Australia to European) bid on “Authorisation and Authentication for Entrusted Unions. In the security area, his team have developed innovative solutions to the issues of nearly "realtime" anomaly detection and malware detection, and some of these solutions were embedded in some tools.  Zahir's research interest is in the investigation of (even complex) cyber-security issues both from economical /industrial and social perspectives with the aim to have an impact both technologically and socially speaking.

Laki Kondylas has a wealth of experience nationally and internationally and has held executive roles in both State and Federal Governments as well as in Academic Institutions. Laki brings a wealth of international knowledge specifically in North America where he represented Australia in Arizona, Washington DC and San Francisco. Laki worked at the Australian Embassy and was responsible for building commercial relationships with key multi-lateral organisations such as the World Bank and International Finance Corporation.  In San Francisco he worked with some of the world’s most innovative companies and startups to help them establish expand their presence to North America or Australia respectively. Most recently, Laki was responsible for the strategic relationships of RMIT, leading a team overseeing the Universities most complex relationships.  He has held similar roles at the Australian Research Council funded National Centre for Groundwater Research & Training and at Flinders University’s New Venture Institute, judged the best university linked accelerator/incubator program in the Asia Pacific in 2018 and 2019.

Dr Pham has more than 10 years of teaching and research in managing information systems, system analysis and design, networking and cyber security studies at RMIT University Vietnam. His main cyber security focuses are on understanding security behaviour of employees, communication techniques and building a cyber security awareness and engagement culture in organisations. Dr Pham has attracted several internal research grants and industry fundings to conduct security trainings. Dr Pham has obtained several industry security-related certifications including Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), Certified Hacking Forensic Investigator (CHFI), Microsoft Certified Professional and Salesforce Certified Administrator. He was responsible for setting up Cyber Security lab at RMIT University Vietnam which conducted cyber security trainings to undergraduate students and organisations. His research has been published in high ranking journals including Journal of Information and Computer Security, Australasian Journal of Information Systems, and Journal of Information Security and Applications. His future interest includes exploring integrated security requirements in highly connected supply chain networks, work-from-home security practice and impact of national privacy policies on foreign businesses.

Gabby manages the operations of the Centre for Cyber Security Research and Innovation, overseeing project delivery, event management and engagement activities both internally and externally. She has operational and project management experience working with federal government, c-suite executives, industry, and academia. She’s had the opportunity to lead and work on cyber security projects; including the enhancement of the Australian university sector cyber posture, the gender dimensions within Australian cyber security sector as well as contributions to the development of cyber security education materials. Gabby has previously held operational roles in the higher education sector relating to student experience strategy as well as program management in graduate employability initiatives.
