The Graduate Certificate of Digital Transformation provides a comprehensive end-to-end view of the skills required to critically evaluate your business and lead a digital transformation.

With a strong focus on governance frameworks and data-driven insights, this course will help you learn how to maximise your company's return on investment by redefining its people, processes, and technological capabilities.

This subject lays down the strategy and governance groundwork required for a digital transformation:

  • Identify opportunities for digital transformation and develop innovative and compelling strategies
  • Explore digital business and operating models including governance structures
  • Uncover how emerging technologies will create business value
  • Apply key frameworks around organisational strategy, transformation management, and organisational theory

Digital Transformation Enablers

This subject interrogates the fundamental enablers required to successfully undertake digital transformation:

  • Develop the mindset, organisational culture and team to embrace and drive change
  • Make data-driven decisions from generated insights and identify valuable data sources
  • Explore how technology can facilitate personalised experience, processes, and products
  • Understand frameworks around change theory, organisational culture, business analytics, technology strategy, and data visualisation.

Digital Transformation Execution

This subject addresses how to execute a transformation on an initiative level:

  • Understand how capability, communication and operational challenges often leads to transformation failure
  • Explore how to mitigate transformation challenges and sell your vision by developing key artefacts such as business cases, budgets, and initiative roadmaps
  • Comprehend the key theories and frameworks around effective communication, project evaluation, cost and benefit analysis, and project management.

Future Skills bundle

For this subject, you'll choose from one of the following Future Skills bundles:

  • Digital Leadership + Digital Delivery with Agile
  • Digital Leadership + Customer Experience Strategy and Design
  • Cyber Security Risk and Strategy + Developing Blockchain Strategy

As a graduate of this course, you'll be equipped with the skills, knowledge, and capabilities to lead a successful digital transformation.

Having focussed on governance frameworks and data-driven insights, you will be able to to maximise your organisation’s return on investment by redefining its people, processes, and technological capabilities.

Admissions

An Australian bachelor degree or equivalent, or higher level qualification in a related field (business or IT related) from a recognised tertiary institution. You may also be considered for the graduate certificate if you have a minimum 5-year full-time related (business or IT related) work experience. Applicants will need to submit a CV. 

International students are required to provide current evidence of English language proficiency for admission to RMIT University. You can provide your results from one of these three options:

  • An accepted English language proficiency test, or
  • An accepted English language provider, or
  • A recognised Australian or international qualification.

  • Total AU$15,840 for four courses.

Fees apply to 2024 only.

Fees are adjusted on an annual basis and these fees should only be used as a guide.

In addition to tuition fees, you will be charged an annual student services and amenities fee (SSAF) based on your enrolment load, which is used to maintain and enhance services and amenities that improve your experience as an RMIT student. Eligible local students can apply for an SA-HELP loan to defer payment of their SSAF.

Some students may be eligible to apply to defer payment of some or all of their tuition fees via the Commonwealth Government’s FEE-HELP loan scheme.
