Dr Conyers' research sits at the intersection of journalism studies, digital media and platform power, critically examining how metrics shape newsroom cultures, content distribution, and the quality of public information. Her research explores the types and forms of digital metrics and analytics engaged by news organisations and the implications for the platformisation of news. She holds a PhD, MBAe and a BSocSc and is also a former journalist, digital editor and newspaper editor with more than a decade of experience in both Australian and UK newsrooms.
