Application dates

Find out key dates to apply for and accept an offer from RMIT.

If you need a student visa, it's recommended to apply and accept your offer at least 4–8 weeks before your course starts. This will allow sufficient time for visa processing. If your course requires selection tasks or credit assessments, you should apply as early as possible.

Please refer to the application dates for local students and acceptance deadlines for under-18 students if these apply to you.

Complete your application by the deadline

Application deadlines refer to the date by which your application must be completed along with all required documents submitted. You must submit all required documents by the deadline in order for us to assess your application. Applications submitted with missing documents will not be assessed.

Selected RMIT courses are open for Semester 1, 2027 applications. More information can be found on our course pages.

Please note that the deadline below does not apply to programs with late enrolment restrictions. For these programs, applications should be submitted as early as possible and no later than one week prior to the official program commencement date, subject to availability.
