Professor Taylor had over 30 years experience in the university sector and has held numerous leadership and executive roles. Most recently she was Deputy Dean at UTS Business School and Dean of Murdoch Business School. Professor Taylor is a past Editor of Sport Management Review and European Sport Management Quarterly. She currently is on the Editorial Board of six sport management journals.
Professor Taylor is an internationally recognised sport management scholar, with 150+ peer reviewed journal publications, books, book chapters and research project reports. Professor Taylor has been awarded over $2m in research grants and has led a number research projects nationally and internationally, and contributed to research projects from Australia, Canada and Europe. current research grants explore aspects of women's professional team sport.
Professor Taylor has board experience in the sport and voluntary sectors.
Professor Taylor's research areas are in volunteer management, diversity and inclusion, and women sport leadership. She currently leads an ARC Discovery in Women in Professional Sport and and NRL Research Grant on careers for women in the NRLW, and is co-investigator on a women and disability in sport federal funded Grant and a EU funded project on newly arrived migrants and sport.
