Ari, Bachelor of Engineering (Aerospace) (Honours)

I’d like to thank my parents. They supported me throughout the long four years of my degree. I’d often come home from university at 10-11pm and have a hot dinner waiting for me, that was helpful for sure.

Trishla, Master of Design and Innovation Technology

I’d like to thank my mother, she’s kind of a tough love person and she kept pestering me and telling me that if anyone can do it, it’s me. That’s what kept me going through the entire journey so far.

Sam, Bachelor of Engineering

Eli and Abhijit,

Your support has been immeasurable.

Thank you so much.

Nish, Master of Media

Volunteering for the RMIT Indian Club in my first month in Melbourne was a great decision because it started a journey that took me on adventures of a lifetime and made my student life at RMIT more special than I could have imagined. My shoutout is to my home away from home - RMIT Indian Club! Thank you for making this experience so memorable.

Jennie, Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping

Hi Sukanta, A special shoutout to you for teaching what I think were the most challenging subjects in the Cert IV and Diploma of Accounting - Working in the Accounting & Bookkeeping Industry and Ethical Decision Making.

I really enjoyed your wonderfully rambling lecture style and your spirited debates with students - you always made the classes engaging and thought-provoking. I can confidently say I'm now fully committed to being a whistleblower!

Hello Rey, Thank you for explaining things so clearly on the whiteboard - it really helped put the concepts into context and love your mind maps and diagrams. I also appreciate your no-nonsense approach (you definitely managed to scare us into staying on track a few times).

You are clearly a great accountant, but an even better teacher - especially considering you make topics like Excel spreadsheets and BAS genuinely engaging!

Thanks again for everything you've taught us during the semester.

Menuki, Bachelor of Computer Science

I want to thank my parents for always supporting me and for all the sacrifices they have made so I could succeed.

Moving to Australia alone at 16 as an international student and finishing my degree at 18 was a massive achievement but was not easy. Being an only child, it was hard being away from them, but they were always there for me.

Due to the time difference, they barely slept, staying on the phone with me almost 24/7, waking up at 1 a.m. to call me as I left the house, staying on the line until I entered the lecture hall, and calling again on my way back. They have been my biggest strength through everything, and I am so grateful for all they have done to give me a brighter future.

R. Tran, Bachelor of Psychology

The person I want to express my deepest gratitude to is myself. Thank you for coming this far. I’m grateful that you never gave up, even when things were hard.

Thank you to the 12-year-old girl who never forgot her dreams. Thank you to the 20-year-old girl who bravely left for distant Australia on her own. Thank you for every night you cried, but still stood up the next morning and kept walking toward the future.

I’m grateful that you stayed true to yourself despite stumbles and temptations. Thank you, dear Kim, for holding on.

No matter what the future brings, I hope you’ll always dare to take steps forward, dare to make your own choices, dare to fail, and stand tall again. Keep breaking limits, keep growing, and most of all — keep loving yourself.

With all my heart,

Kim Anh Tran

Mayuresh, Master of Data Science

My I couldn’t have made it here without the people who’ve kept me grounded and going.

To my parents, thank you for being my biggest constants through every high and low, for your patience, faith and every quiet sacrifice behind the scenes. You’ve been my strength across every mile.

To my friends near and far, you lads know who you are. Thank you for the laughter, the early morning calls, ludo games night and the gentle push when things got rough.

And to all the seniors and juniors who knowingly or unknowingly helped along the way, your support meant more than you realise.

This one’s not just mine but ours.. I couldn’t have asked for a better crew to share this journey with. ❤️
