RMIT City Campus Children's Centre provides long daycare for the children of staff and students at RMIT University.
About the Centre
The centre is accessible at street level, and features four floors, with outdoor play areas for the children at each level, as well as a roof top play area.
The Centre is comprised of five rooms:
- Room 1: 3-18 months
- Room 2: 12 months-2 years
- Room 3: 2-3 years
- Room 4: 3-4 years
- Room 5: 4-5 years
Room 5 includes a four-year-old kindergarten program.
We are strongly committed to providing a progressive and consistently high quality children's service where the needs of both the children and the families are met. We aim to provide an environment that nurtures the uniqueness of each child.
Our program enables the children to learn and develop skills through the process of exploration within an educationally play based curriculum. We aim to provide an encouraging environment that is supportive and safe. Our aim is to work as a partnership with our families integrating our diverse cultures, backgrounds, beliefs and attitudes in our community. The Centre offers a daily Kindergarten program for children who turn four on or before 30 April.
Our information guide (PDF 2.3mb, 22p) provides further detail about the Centre and our policies.
