About

Sacha is a designer, animator and teacher with over 10 years experience teaching in the RMIT School of Design.

In the animation program he is responsible for teaching drawing based subjects in character and production design and delivers and coordinates  studio outcomes that explore visual storytelling or collaborations with industry partners.

Sacha is the course coordinator for AIM studio 3.

In his professional practice Sacha worked as a storyboard artist, character designer and art director in commercial TV and film projects and uses his industry relevant experience to bring practical, skills based learning to the animation degree.

Teaching interests

With an interest in connecting students/graduates with industry Sacha focuses on practical outcomes that help prepare graduates for industry with assignment outcomes, coordinating internships, networking and professional development.

Major Project

Research interests

In 2023-24 Sacha was Principal investigator on a partner research project with Menzies School of Health that communicated Menzies research on communicating their research on maternal health services for remote communities. This continues his research interest in health communication as he commences Higher Degree Research in 2025 with a focus on design and storytelling for people with disabilities.
